Hotty Toddy, and the Oxford Square!

If you find yourself drunkly stumbling down the square in Oxford looking for a place to sober up; stop by Rooster's. The Tallahassee Fillet drawed me in along with the Jalapeño Cheese Grits. Much to my surprise the best part of the meal would be my own creation. Traveling around, trying new foods and flavors, and spreading the grits; is what I am about! My travel to Rooster's lead me to try a new spread. The new Spread is Jalapeño Cheese grits on Hush-puppies. WOW, is all my mouth could say after bitting into the fresh, hot, golf ball size hush-puppies covered with a layer of grits.
The next best part of the Rooster's experience is the roof top bar. Go to the back of the bar and climb the stairs, here you will find a swarm of collegiate kids jamming to live music, and smoking on the balcony. A word to the wise " Watch you balance around the edge of the banister." Here you can have some drinks with friends and make new ones. If you order a Jack with a splash of coke, you only get a splash.
A few doors down is a bar a don't remember the name to. If you walk in and see salt water fish swimming behind the bar; your in the right place. The bartender here is fantastic!! Ask them to play the house song while you are there!!
Hotty Toddy to the next great dish!
